Observer
NameCecily L
Experience Level4/5
RemarksI was driving West @ 80mph when I saw a bright glow at the upper edge of my windshield, which quickly entered my view as a brilliant light green fireball, with a train almost the same width, reminded me of a baseball with a cartoonish train, no narrowing or point at the end, and the whole thing burnt out simultaneously, like it dropped into a lake. THis is the 3rd fireball I've seen in this location, one last year looked like a giant corkscrew, another one a few years before that was a bright orange, huge orb, the size of a basketball (relatively speaking). 3 others I've seen in the past, one each in central UTah, E. Wyoming, and Oregon, along I-5 near Cottage Grove.
