RemarksWas pretty cool. I seen the huge oxygen tank enter back in Texas that lit up the night that landed on ranch back in the early 90's lit up the nighttime into daylight for seconds, that one was bright white. I've seen meteor showers. I have seen the spaceshuttle re-enter earth's atmosphere at early dawn and light up the night like it was daytime with huge smoke tail.. this one was close to ground, landed somewhere south of hwy 50- most likely on Aerojet property. Was moving at a pretty quick clip too. Lasted about a little over a second and fragmented into three pieces.. I would have to estimate bigger than a softball but not by much.. got a real good look at it. Closest I have ever seen one in altitude.
